A simple module to display quotes or information from a text file. The information can be displayed (rotated) randomly, daily, weekly, monthly or every hour or every minute. You can have as many files as you like, unlimited quotes in each and style them by administrator params or css file. If you need more options you can download rquotes component and module here also. This is a companion module for RQuote component to display information from the database. Install the module ,pick where you want it to appear on your site,choose a category, publish it and you're good to go. There are many options on how to display the information along with styling options. For more detailed information see module help files on this site.

This is a general purpose component to store almost any information(Quotes, Jokes, Tips etc.) to your database for display on your site. There are different ways (views) to display information in the front end. You can choose from a list of quotes by category or a single quote by it's ID in the menu options . In addition you can allow visitors (registered) to add there own information. For more detailed information and to learn how to use this component see some of the additional file on this site. Also quotes can be displayed with the RQuote Module . See the article below for more information.

. To use the information in front end create a menu item as follows::

Go to Menus>menu name > new > Rquote!>

The following Menu Items are available:

List quotes by categories: Displays a list of quotes with the following options
Fill in Menu Title
Category: Select a category to pick quotes from
# of items to display : How many to display from that category
Sort Order: How to sort them
Sort Column: What column to use
Choose what Columns to show or hide
Choose How  you want quotes displayed?

OR

List a single quote by ID: Displays a single quote by the ID that you choose

OR

Create a Quote:This option will enable Registered users to add there own quotes in the front end

 

 

Subcategories
